RADAZ and TreeX Establish Exclusive Partnership for SAR Radar Applications in the Planted Forest Sector

| Radaz | News

RADAZ, a Brazilian company specializing in ultra-compact SAR radars mounted on drones, and TreeX, a company based in Curitiba (PR) focused on planted forests, announce an exclusive strategic partnership for joint operations in the sector. The initiative aims to expand the use of high-resolution remote sensing solutions in forestry operations in Brazil, with direct application in the management of cultivated areas, pest control, biomass assessment and estimation, and soil and subsoil analysis.

The core technology of the partnership is the RD350 radar, developed by RADAZ. Weighing only 5 kg, this synthetic aperture radar stands out as the only one in the world capable of simultaneously operating in the C, L, and P bands — ensuring accurate and continuous readings of vegetation and subsoil, even in dense forest environments and under low or no light conditions.

The combination of frequency bands enables decimetric tomographic diagnostics capable of identifying, for example, underground ant nests, signs of erosion and soil compaction, moisture levels, and generating 3D biomass models. The data produced are compatible with GIS systems (in GeoTIFF format), in addition to proprietary software that automatically analyzes images and information.

The RD350 radar is already in operation in countries such as Brazil, Germany, England, Italy, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates, and will soon be operational in Finland. Beyond agribusiness applications, the technology is being used for monitoring hard-to-access areas, underground pipelines, geological layers, and water networks under dense vegetation.

TreeX, in turn, brings together professionals with extensive experience in the forestry sector, with backgrounds in companies such as Klabin, Brookfield, Malinovski, and Brasil Florestal. Operating in the areas of business, consulting, and technology, the company uses drones for forest monitoring and will be responsible for implementing the technology with sector clients in Brazil. Field technical demonstrations are also planned.

The partnership has been established exclusively for the planted forest segment and aims to deliver operational, economic, and environmental benefits: reducing pest-related losses, improving the efficiency of input usage, reduced need for labor, enhancing forest planning, and increasing financial returns for medium- and large-scale operations.

“It is a great pleasure to join forces with a company specialized in the agroforestry sector to open new business opportunities for RADAZ in this segment,” says Norivaldo Corrêa Filho, CEO of RADAZ.

Equally enthusiastic about the initiative, TreeX partner José Totti emphasizes that combining TreeX’s practical experience with RADAZ’s technology represents a turning point for the planted forest sector. “We are excited about the transformative potential of this partnership for our clients.”

The official announcement of the partnership takes place during Show Florestal 2025, held from August 19 to 21 in Três Lagoas (MS), one of Brazil’s main hubs for planted forests. This eucalyptus industry trade show is one of the leading showcases for the sector in Latin America.
