Artificial Intelligence predicting sugarcane productivity

The agricultural sector knows that detailed information on harvest dates and productivity is crucial for ensuring a successful and profitable yield.
Having that in mind, in 2019, Radaz introduced an innovation in this field through the FAPESP-IBM-PITE project.
By using radar-based artificial intelligence (AI) to survey sugarcane plantations — in collaboration with UNICAMP and Usina São Martinho —, we were able to predict the harvest date (with a margin of error of only 5 days) and the productivity of the sugarcane crops (with a margin of only 2%) three months in advance.
This type of data is a significant gain for farmers, as it allows more effective planning and optimized resource management. It’s Radaz technology, once again, bringing the confidence, economy, and security that the agricultural sector needs, transforming challenges into opportunities to further enhance harvest success.
